Default Cracked ram air hood?

Hello,

I'm thinking about buying an aftermarket ram air hood that was damaged from hitting a deer. It's not bad because there are only cracks (like spider cracks) in the front, no other damage. How would I go about filling those in? I'm thinking that bondo or that duraglass would be too thick to fill them in? Does anyone make a THICK primer that would fill in the cracks better? I can get it dirt cheap for $100 so it might be worth it. I'm not a big body man but have done a few things. Thanks!

I'm no expert but from what I was told Sheet Molded Compound needs to be done in Epoxy primer or you will see the bodywork through it. If possible, I would have someone who is familiar with it take a look at it.
If you are able, do it once, do it right!
