Question Legal Headlamp Height... What is it?

.

I need to readjust my headlamps. They appear a bit cockeyed! ... I can easily adjust this so that's not the question. The question is, what is the legal headlamp beam height? This adjustment would be exactly what a "reff" adjusts after your car has been 'salvaged'.

... I ask because I don't want it too low and have it negatively effect my visabilty at night and I don't want to blind another driver in front of me if I set it too high.

...Not sure if this belongs in this section so if this needs to be moved elsewhere I apologize.

the law simply states how high (or low) the headlight itself must be from the ground - I'm pretty sure every state is give or take an inch from what whytry posted above

how high you adjust the beam is up to you...

just pull up perpendicular to a wall ('bout five feet or so) and adjust the beams in line with each other - take it for a test drive and adjust as needed
