Default Cracks on SS OE hood

I just bought an SS and as I start to make plans to get it up to my standards, I have noticed cracks all along the hood. They all run on the outer edges some are half inch others an inch or 2. I'm very concerned its an OE hood. The paint is done on it, clear is gone on a couple spots. Its going to take a lot of work to get it nice again.

Question is has anyone seen this on an SS OE hood and should I just buy another OE hood or fix this one?

The crack isn't just in the paint, it looks to be in the base gell coat.

im assuming the hood is glass, if you V out the cracks and apply Nortans: Speed Grip to them and spread it smooth with a squeegee, then when dry sand and prime, then you can repaint the hood.

it would probably be less than buying a new hood. unless you can find a super deal on one

That would be A LOT of frigin V's!!! My buddy told me to do that. Just not too sure what to use to fill it. I thought about the glass filler with the fiber.

Topless I guess you know I'm in Orlando. My concern is whatever the cost may be to fix the cracks I may just buy one without them. Do you work in a shop? I'm traveling and will take a few shots of the cracks.

Oh, just in case. This is an OE hood on a real SS. I checked the RPO.
