Angry Stupid Paint Shop!!!!

does anyone know if buffer burns can come out of paint? I put my car in the shop to have a rear quarter panel ding fixed and repainted, well, they still don't have it right, and it looks like they tried to buff the car and now I have burn marks on the hood, and some of the same **** on the passenger side.... it still has to go back because the rear quarter panel has to be redone, but I was wandering if they will have to repaint the hood and the passenger side door as well to fix the buffer burn spots.

like burned through the paint and now the sealer/primer is showing? If so, then a good body shop will be able to blend it in but in most cases, its easier to repaint the entire panel...

no, it doesn't look like the primer is showing, just has the marks like on top of the paint

If it's just in the paint it can easily be fixed. You'll need to get a cutting compound and use a certain buffing pad depending on how bad it is.

Usually if you see a burn mark it means they went through the clear coat down to the base. If that's the case, it will have to be re-cleared at least.

They probably dont know how to use a rotary buffer. Id take it somewhere else or to a person who does know how to or that uses a DA buffer.
