Default Caliper and caliper bracket paint

I'm thinking about painting my caliper and caliper brackets. I want to paint the caliper a different color than the caliper bracket. I have been reading up on the G2 caliper paint and it sounds like some really good stuff. So I plan on painting my caliper with G2 but was wondering if it is necessary to paint the caliper brackets with G2? Or if I could use something cheaper for the brackets? Thanks.

Whatever works on the caliper is also fine for the brackets. You could also use Hi-temp caliper paint from VHT that you get any local auto store.

I used engine enamel and it's still holding up fine.

Engine paint works good. Doesn't matter what paint you use, nothing will last long if the surface isn't cleaned and prepped properly. Calipers are very dirty so clean them well. I always take mines completely apart when I paint them.

Thanks for all the quick replies. All I gotta do now is wait for it to warm up outside, who knows how long that's gonna be.

Ya, 60 would be awesome, but it was about 40 degrees here yesterday and same with today. Almost t-shirt weather.
