Default Removal of the T Tops center finishing panel....

Hey guys, ive got some time off this week so i decided to do some budget friendly fixes/projects. One project i have is painting the finishing panel in the center of the T Tops, so im not sure on how to take it off the car so i can paint it. Any one else ever taken off the finishing panel? (im not even sure if thats what its really called.)

Ive taken it off when I was stripping a parted out Trans am, its just like 8 screws, 4 on each side. And some double sided tape under it.

What kind of double sided tape is under it you think? Like the 3M trim tape type of tape?

Post some pictures after you paint it. I would like to see the finished product! Good luck.

I definitely will. I`ll take some before and after pics. Now speaking of painting it, is it necessary to scuff the surface with like a scuffing pad before i paint it? Also is it really necessary to primer it first then paint it?
