Default Protectant Film

Had my Camaro repainted in August/Sept '12. Drove it two months, stored for winter. Drove it last season (6 months), and I already have a bunch of stone chips to fix on the front fascia.

What's the latest and greatest on paint protectant films? I am half considering yanking the front fascia and getting just that wrapped/sprayed after fixing the rock chips. I don't really like seeing the "line" if they run it up the hood/fenders, but 99.9% of the chips are on the fascia anyway, so I can use that seam as the break point.

Is it worth it?

Xpel Ultimate is awesome stuff. Ive used it and installed it. If you install right without bubbles it is unnoticeable on the car.

Does it seem to protect the paint well, or do most hits just go right through it?

Its protects well and also is self healing to extent. My paint was perfect when it was removed. A friend of mine road races and autox's and has been using it in his car as well. We just did the lower doors, rockers and front bumper on his new 1le for this race season. Its definately pricey but worth it I think.

Whatever you use, DO NOT use the 3M clear wrap crap.
