hood decals and stickers on a 2000 Z28
An appraiser suggests the hood on the 2000 Z28 has been painted since it now has no decals or stickers on it. If there were some from the factory, how many, and who has replacements, for that restored o-e-m look?

The appraiser is likely unfamiliar with these vehicles then. No stickers would be present on the underside of the hood from the factory. All emissions/belt routing/AC/coolant/etc. type information is/was found on decals located on the original air lid and shock tower.
The only type of sticker that would be found on the underside of the hood would be something relating to a GM recall campaign having been completed on the vehicle, and that would have obviously been affixed by a dealership and not the assembly line. Here is a picture of my '98 with said recall campaign sticker (this was for an EGR recall, 1998 specific) affixed near the hood latch area/pad on the right:
Sans any recall, you should have no stickers/decals on the underside of your hood. Also, as mentioned in the other thread, your 2000 model wouldn't have come with the above pictured insulator either.

As correctly mentioned above, those items are custom. The "LS1" decal was included with the aftermarket Whisper lid that I installed back in 2004. The bowtie was something I added in addition.
