Default SOM paint question

I just had to replace the original battery in my car, due to it leaking. Needless to say even tho I caught itright after it started it ruined the paint under the battery.

I had SOM mixed up and it's so different. It was mixed by my dads chevy dealer, which had just painted my sail panel due to a scratch and it matched perfect!

I know GM never cleared under the hoods of these cars. But my paint looks like hugger orange, not SOM. There is like no metallic (sp?) I need help, how the hell can I get paint to match?

go to your local paint supply store with the car and they will match it to your car. underhood colors are usually a little different from the exterior colors because they are not ment to be cleared.

you are probabaly right about it not being metallic under the hood, my friends pewter cars were nowhere close to the body paint under the hood. not sure on SOM.
