As can be seen in the pictures, the vacuum port on the right side of the front has been removed and plugged with silicon. If you decide you need that port, it could easily be opened up again. The bottom plate has been sealed with silicon and loctite blue has been applied on the screw threads. It can be removed, but you'll have to get a gasket or reseal it the same way.
