LQ4 boosted long block
Category: Engine - Complete Motors
Price: $2000
Location (State): PA
Item Condition: Used
Engine: LS1/LS6
LS Engine?: Fits LS Engine
I have an 05 LQ4 upgraded longblock for sale.
It came out of a Yukon Denali that had a dashboard fire. When I brought it home and disassembled it, it appeared to be VERY low mileage, as it was super clean under the valve covers, pistons had no carbon buildup, and the cylinder bores showed no signs of wear with uniform cross hatching. While I had the 317 heads off, I went ahead and had a valve job done, installed new valve stem seals, a set of PAC1519 beehive springs, and trunion upgraded rockers. I put on a pair of LS9 head gaskets and used a set of ARP head studs. On the bottom end, I installed a Speed Inc TU1.5 (turbo spec) cam and a high volume oil pump, and otherwise left the bottom end alone. It has a few hundred street miles and a handful of 1/4 mile passes on it last year. This year it has only seen street miles... The last outing... 11/14/2015, I made 4 passes, all between 9.3-9.9 and 150-153mph. Engine is still in the car so it can be seen/heard running. Transmission is starting to slip, so it's a good time for me to make an engine change since it is easier to pull both at the same time. It will include the engine itself, a set of valve covers, front rear and valley covers, and oil pan (an LS1 camaro pan currently in the car that has been repaired on the bottom)...
SOLD shortblock, new thread to come
Lightly modified LS1 intake (vacuum port in rear has been capped), throttle body, recently cleaned/flowed 850cc injectors and aftermarket fuel rails can be included for an additional $600...
Just to be clear... turbo setup, manifolds, water pump, pulleys, brackets, engine mounts, flexplate, coils, plug wires, electronics and sensors are not included, as most are specific to my set up and plan on using them for my next LSX build.
Engine is located for pick up in Waynesboro, Pa (PA/MD border)
