Good luck with that brother, they are the hardest thing to find out of a true 96-97 SSs beside the hood itself. I have two of them personally one came with my SS and the other one I found on craigslist from a guy who never knew what he had his hands on, so I bought it from him to keep it. Look on craigslist.
Do you have a real SLP 96-97 SS hood or you were TOLD it's an SLP? I'm asking that because if it isn't, then you could get away with an after market one, I believe RK sport sell them, if yours isn't SLP hood then the factory air ur looking for won't work properly on it anyway.
