I just purchased a 02 z-28 with a unknown built LS1. The smog pump has been disconnected and several others things. It is cam'd, again unknown. I have a check engine light (of course)lol. I will have the codes here soon but to the point. I took it to my F-body buddy and he says the camaro is great just need a pcm, hp tuner or ls1 edit...... I am hoping to find some more info and suggestions here.

so if I purchase the HP tuner I can unlock my 2002 z-28 and my buddy's 98 trans-am??? And I can doing everything to them both??? Their credit system is very confusing???

HPtuners come with 8 credits. It costs 2 credits to tune an LS1, so after tuning yours and your friends cars, you'll still have 4 credits left.

depending on you knowledge and understanding of engine controls, you might be better off paying a tuner to take care of your needs, especially if the car is cammed
