Default Question for the experienced

I have HPTuners '02 V8 f-body unlimited, '04 GTO unlimited. My dad just bought a '98 Z28 and I logged a little bit of it running. I am going to purchase the license so I can tune it, but the STFT and LTFT were maxed out at 100 and the IAT regiastered -40*. Any insight as to why this is. All sensors are in place and I realize that it could have a crappy tune. I did notice 6* KR with a slight jab of the throttle. '98 is a weird year IMO. My car is a '00 with '02 operating system. I didn't log much b/c the alternator is bad, but the battery was freshly charged.

That IAT temperature is what it will read with a failed/unplugged sensor... any other readings that outta wack? You may wanna check the fuses to make sure the sensor fuse isn't blown...

No it's a mistake. It happens with 98s. Hook up to your dad's car. Start scanning and then stop. The items that show up oddly in the scanner; remove them from being logged. Now re-add them to the table. Start scanning back up and it will work properly.

That's what I was hoping.

No DTC, it's been sitting with a dead battery and only ran for a total of 20 min to drive from place of purchase to his house.

Yah it's an oddity of HPT and 98s.

Hook up, scan for a sec, close the log, delete the funny appearing PIDs from the table view and then add them back. Next time you scan, things should line up. There may be a default config for 98s in there also, not 100% sure.
