Too many things not ready to pass inspection Hey all,
Just got told I can no longer pass inspection with the rear O2's turned off in the computer. Texas emissions testing counties will only allow 1 not ready status for 01+ cars, and mine is an 02 WS6.
My rear O2's are tuned out which has always been ok as I could have two not ready items and still pass. As of October of 2008 I can only have 1.
So now I need to find a way to make either the O2 Sensor or the O2 Sensor Heater report as ready.
I have O2 sims attached to the rear O2 wires, could my tuner just turn the rear O2's back on in the computer for it to read a ready status or would the status test see through the sims and still report not ready?
This just sucks

If you have sims on them then renable them and they will report ready. If you look at the graph on the rear O2's it will show the mock signal on them. The pcm will not read them as not ready as the sim will completely mimic them.
