"Oil Change" light is on, how to turn it off?
This light just turned on on the way home today... Maybe because my oil needed to be changed? I changed it about 400 miles ago though. How do I get the light to go away, and could the light come on for any other reason besides needing an oil change, like low oil, or dirty *** oil, etc...?

Re:
Turn your ignition to the ON position but don't start the car.
Hold down the trip odometer for a while. I think it like 5-10 seconds. You will see the oil light go off on the dash.
You can then start the car.

Mine came on for no good reason recently, I tried the tripometer - but it didn't work. I turned the car on, but didn't start it. Then I remembered how the GM trucks are... pumped the gas pedal 3 times - light went out. HTH
FYI - the tripometer deal works on a coworkers Pontiac Formula... so maybe it's a Pontiac thing?
