Could a low windshield washer fluid reservoir make the low fluid light come on?

Could a low windshield washer fluid reservoir make the low fluid light come on? I have the low fluid light come on everytime i drive my car and when i first got it, i took out the windshield washer fluid reservoir and now its just a bare sensor. Could that be causing the light to come on? Is there any way i can use HPtuners or anything to get that light to not come on? Thanks

Its the coolant sensor going bad, it is on the passenger side of the radiator, about 1 foot from the top, unplug to turn the light off, or replace the sensor. (and then it will need to be replaced again and again, since they constantly fail)
