Default Hpp3

It is very rare that I see anyone using the HPP3. Why is it so unpopular? Is it really that bad? I know the LS1 edit is the best but that requires a laptop meaning way more money. What is good and bad about HPP3? Will it do more damage than good when programming? Should it only be used to calibrate speedometer? Thanks for info

The HPP3 is good for the speedo calibration and fan settings. If you plan to go with a cam/heads/headers then LS1 edit would be the way to go.

The HPP3 copies your "high" octane tables on your lower ones. It was designed around stock motor parameters and could adversly affect heavily modded engine.
However in a lite one (lid, catback, thermo, gears to a certain extend (upshifts only)), it does the job it was designed for.
