Default Coil pack Removal

I looking to remove one of my coil packs and replace it with another one since I believe one is bad. So how do you take one off? It looks like the top bolt is removed but wanted to ask so I dont mess something up since I never did it before.

Coil pack removal is straight forward. You obviously need to disconnect the wire connections. Depending on the year, there are 4 or 5 10 mm bolts holding a bracket to the valve cover. I guess the earlier LS1s didn't have a bracket but mounted each pack individually. The back ones are a bear but with a 1/4" ratchet using a short swivel extention they are do-able. That's my experience anyway...

Yeah like 01z28m6 said they are pretty straight forward. The rears are a bit of a pain but with the right tools shouldnt be a problem.

Coil failure is rare. If it's just a matter of pushing the spark wire back into place, you saved a chunk of change....

The spark wire came off again. It seems when I get on the gas it comes undone. If it keeps happening I'll end up replacing the plugs and the wires.
