manual override on A4 not shifting

manual override on A4 not shifting When i drop the car down into 2nd manually on the shifter and i punch it and shift it when i want it to at w/e rpm i want it to, it wont shift at all. it will just bounce off the rev limiter.
just wondering if that would be tune related or if the trans is messed up for some reason just when i do that?
it shifts great when i just leave it in drive.
i know you prob. just tell me to leave it in drive, lol
but i like to do a lot of roll racing and dont want to punch it and have to take some time for it to down shift then go.
