Default TM on M6

Can someone verify that removing Torque Management on an M6 improves performance? I have read all over this board that it does. I removed it on an M6 friend of mine and he is not happy with the performance and he says everyone is telling him there is no TM on an M6....can someone put this to rest....is there or isnt there?

thanks

There was on mine.. When I'd nail a hard powershift, my timing would take a nose-dive, then recover a second or so later. I was getting SOME knock retard on the shift (~3-4deg) but the car was seeing a timing loss of anywhere from 8-12 deg. It was very noticable while driving, because the car would lay down after the shift. After I pulled Tq.Mgmt the problem went away.

You might want to leave that TM alone unless you have a clutch and a 9 inch rear! GM engineers put it there for a reason.

I didn't see any track gains with removing TM in my 01 car.
