Can you use the same tune for two engines ?
If you have a 427 with the same cam and heads intake as other 427 can you use the same tune and just swap out the engines?
Now if you have a 402 with the same everthing as the 427 can you still use the same tune if you just want to swap the engines for a few weeks? Where would it be off ?

While the simple answer is yes, you can use the same calibration for two engines of identical mechanical specification (as pointed out above), remember that the tune may not be optimized for the 2nd engine. Tolerances and engine build being unique to each engine, the calibration may need to be tuned to optimize the second engine. Chances are that the 2nd engine will run extremely well with the original tune; it's just a matter of how prickly you are about achieving every last ounce of power. If you're street driving the engine, it may not be worth it. If you're running for contingency money in racing, it's worth considering tuning the 2nd engine fully.
