we are having trouble with a car with the security light staying on and have put in a different bcm but it is still on. so now we are thinking about turning off the vats so we know the car will start. i haven't looked at the efi software yet but they said it will do it. what exactly needs to be done to do it ?

It's pretty easy; simply disable the system in the tune, reflash the PCM and it's done.

Have you tried a VATS relink with the tune tool under PCM security? (CTRL+Home)
