Default SES light???

SES light isnt working and hasnt worked since i bought my car which is a 2001 ws6. I have tried a few things to try and figure this out, but no success. I tried a new gauge cluster... not it. I looked at the pins on the pcm... everything seems fine. Ive hooked a scanner to it... this was a while ago to see maybe if SES was turned off and if i remember right this wasnt the case. Whatelse is there that im missing? Anything? Maybe a cut wire?

first of all, how do you know that it is NOT working? do you have codes?

if you take the instrument cluster apart you should be able to find wires for just the light on it, and power it, or read resistance to see what that is.
