car wont stay running after motor install..
Working on a 2000 vETTE. iRON BLOCK 408. Just installed a new motor after the old one spun a main bearing. Ive checked everthing, and when I crank up the car it imediatly dies. If I crank itg up and hold the throttle open a bit its runs, but the second I let off it stalls. And ideas..
Thanks in advance for your help..

You have good fuel pressure right??
I had the same thing on a 2000 C5. We had a VATS issue because I did a write entire from another car and the Body Control BCM set the VATS code. Had to reprogram with the original program and relearn VATS code. The other thing we did at the same time, replaced the crankshaft sensor, his old one was damaged from a motor explosion.
We also had codes from a sticking 90mm throttle body that had been ported.
Good luck. Check for codes.

Ok, update time. I double checked EVERYTHING. So, I started the car and held the RPMs up to about 2000 for about 5 minutes, till the car got to operating temp. Then I slowly let off, and...... damn, it stayed running. Not sure what the deal was. I didnt change anything. Im thinking maybe the computer needed to relearn the fuel trim.... But so far so good. Thanks guys. All of your help was awesome..

Damn, Im gonna pull my hair out. Its been a week, and I STILL have to hold the RPMs up a bit till the car warms up for it to stay running. And Im getting a P0103 HC code, so I swapped the MAF for another one, and cleared the codes, and the code still immediatly popps up the second I start the car, and then the car will stall out.. Any thoughts. Thanks guys..

Is this the same car that you had tuned in SD that had all the problems? If the tune is still setup for SD, then you will have to have either a 101, 102 and or just 103 code.
Sounds like cold startup desired airflow needs a little adjustment.
