98 HPt MAF pcm to 01+ EFI Live SD 2bar tuned pcm
I'm replacing my 98 pcm to a 01+ pcm and I need to know the right steps. The 98 has been tuned with HP tuners. I'm going to tune the new pcm with EFI Live. I have saved the 98 tune in the EFI live program. After I rewire my harness and swap pcms what tune do I put into the 01 pcm? ( a stock 01 tune, a EFI base tune that is close to what I'm going to run, Or my 98 tune that has my vin tied to it.)
I'm a newby so any help will be apreciated.

OS 122121256 is a popular choice if you're not going to use a COS.
You can create a script from your old .tun to transfer all the tables to your new OS.

EFI Live does not care what VIN you run. The COS you ultimately decide to run is up to you -COS#3 will run the 2bar, COS#5 adds the N20 feature-which it does not sound like you are going to run. The operating system will need a base calibration file-the 2002 Fbody OS is the prefered one as mentioned before in this thread. It was the last Fbody cal file and regarded as the most refined. It's ID# is 12212156. You can find an unmolested copy of it at http://www.holdencrazy.com/EFILive/stockTunes.php The unmolested copy will have a VIN in it already. Just copy and paste your VIN for your own satisfaction of knowing it's there. Once again, EFI Live does not care what VIN you put in the tune. You will be licensing the electronic serial number of the hardware you ultimately use in the swap.
