Default Gas Gauge and EVAP

Will disabling the EVAP in the PCM cause the gas gauge to not work?
its a 1999 Camaro PCM and LS1

I don't think it will make the gas gauge inoperable. When you say 'make it inoperable through tuning', do you mean just disabling the MIL DTC's? I was not aware you could disable the actual EVAP just by software. You can disable the MIL Lamp..

Any case you might want to work out a way of venting the gas fumes. That can be a problem.

Good luck..

well i checked the wiring and it looks good. it only need the purple wire for the fuel level signol right? its a LS1 swap into my 87 Camaro and im using the cluster and gas tank from the 99 LS1 camaro as well. the only wires going to the tank are the grey power to the pump, black ground, and the purple fuel level wire.
