i needed to extend that harness and i just cut it up thinking that the wires would be all color coated. but when i actually got around to extending the wires i noticed that some of them a colored exactly the same and they are the same gauge. i noticed the 4 brown wires on the drivers side soldered together (from the factory) going in to 2 brown wire of the same gauge and those two go across on to the passenger side.

so my question is would it matter if i mix the wires up that are the same color ?

as i mentioned before all those brown wires where all the same and they where all joined together from the factory so the other ones should be too ?

also what are all those wires for in that harness ?

The browns are probably for the park lights and if so it won't matter which one goes to which. Guess you should have thought about this before you cut them. Pretty much all you can do is get some wiring diagrams and start joining them as you figure out where they go.

^^ yea i shot myself in the leg on that one

do you have nay idea what all the other ones are for ?

i only need to figure out 2 green ones and 2 pink ones. the rest i can sort out by gauge and color
