Default just picked up hp tuners help with autometer wide band hookup

I have a auto-meter phantom wideband gauge setup

http://www.autometer.com/productPDF/1143A.pdf

Thats a link to instructions.

Is it possible to hook that up to hp tuners or should I go a different route?

what wires would I connect to what ports on the green hp tuners inputs?

Do I just use the output from the blue and blueblack wire?" is that the voltage

ouput?" if so which one is ground - and which one is the data or +

http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14424

look at that pic what wire needs to go to input #1 and what wire needs to

goto #5

thanks in advance

Hi Matt,

It's fairly simple to integrate the output from an Auto Meter wideband to any tuning/logging solution. The output from the sensor is scalable and will depend on the range you have the gauge configured to (BGD settings). For example, the gauge leaves the factory with 10:1 as full rich and 16:1 as full lean. With this setting, the output wire will read 0 volts at 10:1 and 4 volts when it sees 16:1. The scale in between is linear. If you change the BGD scale, this will change the output to match. If your system doesn't use a high and low side signal, simply ground out the signal ground wire. The equation that many systems use is as follows (based on factory configuration):

AFR = [(DL Voltage / 4) * (BDG High-BDG Low)] + BDG Low

AFR = [(1.75/4) * (16 - 10)] + 10

AFR = 12.625

I hope this helps, I've subscribed to this thread if you've got further questions.

Thanks!

Joseph

which is info that has to do with scaling but I am not that far yet.

Default nevermind

Matt-

No problem at all. The blue wire is your signal wire and would go to 1-4 on your interface. Voltage varies on this wire depending on what the gauge is reading. The blue/black wire is the signal ground which you should be able to take to 5 or 6.
