Default 1998 T/A programmer - advice needed.

So like the title says, I've got a 1998 Trans Am; as a brief overview on what you might need to know to help out...
-Pacesetter Headers 1 7/8" longtubes (no egr, no check engine light either)
-No cats (again no check engine)
-3.73 Gears (because of the previous owner, an extra 30k miles is on the odometer... great.)
-seems like its running rich, but maybe thats just the lack of catalyst; Better than Lean I suppose?

I was looking at Diablo and Superchips, but both seem to lack a 1998 version of their tuner. I've been told 98 had something very different in the PCM from the rest of the LS1 F-bodies?
So I was looking at getting a HyperTech Max Energy tuner, hopefully I get some horsepower out of it, but mostly I want the speedometer fixed! (It says 90 when I'm going 67ish on the GPS)

Suggestions?

I would just get it tuned for the gear change, or have a professional tune.

Neither are really an option around here, without driving hours and hours.

Steve did an excellent job for me last week and the turn around time incredible.......sent it out by UPS late Monday and it was back on my doorstep by noon that Friday! Can really feel the difference with the new tune, the rear tires don't like it at all though.......

get a mail order from frost or the like, or a dyno tune. handhelds are junk, all of them

fwiw i've had some frost mail order tunes strapped on the dyno here with great power and a/f ratios that were spot on. He knows what hes doing for sure
