re-tune needed after LS6 intake install???
Do I need to re-tune after installing my LS6 intake? I also ported my throttle body slightly, mostly just took out the sharp lines. I have noticed it hunting for a steady idle sometimes. What does everyone think?

no. if there are no mechanical/pcm problems the pcm should adjust its setting for the new intake on its own.
If its hunting for idle it could be a vacuum leak, recheck all your connections and make sure everything is secure. you did buy the new ls6 coolant tubes and plugs and remove the small connectors on the knock sensor wires before installing didnt you?

got the new coolant tube and the block offs, also removed the harness clips. Did have egr but it was all disabled when it was tuned before. I checked for leaks and everything was ok, it only does it when it is really cold outside. I just wasn't sure if the pcm would learn, I am glad it doesn't need a re-tune.
