In P/N, better idle w/ IAC disconnected
So I've been trying to diagnose my surging idle for a while now, and since I have no tuning software, it's somewhat difficult. Today I decided to clean the MAF and IAC sensors. I noticed that with my IAC disconnected, my idle was better than normal when in Park and Neutral, but when I tried to drive it, it would die every time I came to a stop. So I'm not sure if this means anything concerning the IAC.
Also, the idle got better when I disconnected the PCV valve hose from the intake, but this might be due to the fact that the idle then raised a couple hundred RPM. So I connected the hose back w/o the PCV valve and the idle was still slightly better. So does this mean the valve could be leading to a bad idle or is this just normal?
Mods are H/C/I LS6 crate motor. Tuned w/ HPT 6 years ago. Idle was fine for the first couple years after the tune but has progressively gotten worse.
