Default tune after fuel pump install?

hey guys i just installed my fuel pump and a buddy of mine said i have to get a retune because i will be running rich now.

is that true?

If you just replaced the stock fuel pump, then you shouldn't have to. If you installed an aftermarket pump, they typically increase fuel pressure compared to stock. However, it really depends on the fuel pressure which you need to measure at the rail.

i replaced the stocker with a racetronix kit pump and wiring kit

If your previous tune was based on a pump not supplying enough pressure at high RPM, you might need a tune.
If the tune was based on adequate pressure and the pump failed later, you'll be fine.
