Default 90 degree bend right after MAF - Can our MAF's handle that?

I know it's best to have at least 6 inches I think it is of straight tubing both before and after the maf so the air can flow evenly. I also know some maf's handle having the airflow take turns right before or right after it better than others.

Anybody know about our MAF's and how they handle a situation where the tubing connected to the outlet side of the maf takes an immediate turn?

TIA.

Post MAF you should be fine. It's Pre-MAF that can cause problems. It's best to use one with the screen still in if you've got bends before or after.

I use 2 MAF's and a little "adder" box on my current setup. I'm forced to have a 90 bend right before each one, and i see about a 20 g/s offset from one side to the other. Rotating the MAF relative to the bend effects it as well, but mine are before the MAF.

excellent.

thanks for the info Harlan. I have my cone filter attached directly to it and it is screened so I am 2 for 2 there.

thanks again!
