Default Secondary Air Problems

Hey Guys,
I have a 2002 SS A4. Has ~85,000 miles. It has TSP cam, pushrods, beehive valve springs, headers, catless mid.
The secondary air pump runs randomly while driving, after reaching running temp. I heard these things are only supposed to run at start-up.
Anyway, not only is it annoying hearing this Hoover vacuum running every few minutes, but I'm afraid it's sending false values to the PCM.
So I'm wondering what would cause this thing to run more than it's supposed to and also if it would make the car run more rich than it would without it.
Thanks

Default

Yank the fuse and tune out the codes... it won't make it run richer though...
