Default Missfires are driving me CRAZY!!!! on a cammed 98 SS

I am helping a friend of mine tune his car and we put a new set of autolite 103's in this evening and I'll be damned it still misses like hell! I put it on a-tap and it says that EVERY cylinder misses. It clears out about 2500 rpm though. IT has kinda got me puzzled at the moment. I could understand a few cylinders but this is all 8. Could the wires just be completely fubared? The car only has 30K miles on it. The timing on it doesn't seem right either b/c I ADDED 4 degrees and it still peeks out at about 15 degrees at WOT in every gear. The timing is kinda high in the lower rpms. Could the cam have been installed wrong... maybe it is a tooth off or something? It idles ok.... past the missfires at least. IT seems to be running a little lean on the bottom side(in the .400's and .500's and richens up with rpm).

What can or could or SHOULD I look at?

Did this condition come on all the sudden or was it after a cam install?

I beleive it was sometime after the cam install. FWIT the cam has been installed for a few months and just not got tuned. We also switched back to the stock MAF tonight(comming from an SLP) and the timing actually picked up from what it was.

desensitize the misfire system if you put a cam in, remove code p0300, its totally normal, my 112lsa misfires were jumpin like a **** at first.

Same thing is going on with a buddies car. I have read several places to set the misfires like SS SLP2 suggested, but I have also seen max 140 min 139. Try it and see what happens. I haven't had a chance yet to mess with my buddies. Are you also experiencing the TC not locking up all the time like it should?
