need help -SeS-
I've only had my car for about a month, its a 99 z-28 a4,with 35k, and yesterday my ses light came on. I took the car over to autoZone where they read the code and gave me the code number, but that was it. I wanted to know if any of you guys/gals could help me out. The code it gave me was p0430. It said something about catalyst efficeny threshold bank 2 i was thinking it was the o2 sensor but i dont know which one. Any help would be very much appreciated. thanks

P0430 is Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 2. Basically that is the passenger side cat is going bad. Or the rear O2 sensor on that side is not working right.
I had the left cat on my 2K Z28 go bad after 28K miles so... off those came for SLP LT headers and highflow cats.

Dont worry about driving it, with catalyst inefficiency codes it will not effect performance of the vehicle. But with only 35K miles on the vehicle you should have a dealer look at it. The Catalytic converters have a 8yr-80,000 mile warranty. You can get them replaced within that amount of time under warranty.
