Default system readyness tests - need troubleshooting help

I get both the evap system and secondary air systems as not ready.

I tested the solinoids with the bi-directional controls and I hear them click.

Anybody out there know anything about the systems and what I should look for?

The evap not functioning correctly I am thinking could be the culprit behind my wacky a/f transitions when getting off and on the throttle.

If there is an issue with the EVAP system you should be getting a DTC. Have you checked for codes?

no codes related to the evap system.

but I find it curious that the tests do not complete.

evap takes forever to set. If you clear any emissions codes it goes back. I think it took a week or two for me to get evap ready. Unforunately a p0135 heater code kept popping up, clearing it, cleared all the readiness bits , hence the never ending evap not ready.

now that its warm i've got no more p0135 and all bits are set.

evap will not go ready on my car on a 1 hour drive oddly.

ahh ok. I did recently reset codes. so that explains that one.

I guess I will drive the car for a few days and then check the tests again.

thanks for the info!

Make sure you aren't using a timer tricker or a resistor instead of the IAT sensor. That may keep it from running all the tests.

I have my entire evap, air and egr systems totally removed from the car. Just turn all the related codes to off and leave any related tests on. All my readiness tests show complete with no drive time needed even after pcm resets.
