Knock after sitting in hot traffice 4.5+ So I noticed something cool with my torque app, after sitting in traffic with an IAT of 140+ when I got on it the motor detected knock and kicked the timing back 4.5 degrees all by itself.
Had this toy http://torque-bhp.com/ running on my droid connected to a bluetooth OBD adapter which logs a log of stuff and has warnings, so as soon and the timing got kicked back it set of an alarm to let me know.
Assuming this is normal due to the high IAT after sitting in traffic.
The real question I have is when you guys are at the track how do you prevent high IAT after hot lapping the car and sitting in the staging lane traffic? If it weren't for that program I would have never known my car was pulling timing.
