Just bought a buddys 98 trans am with ford 9 inch and a good bit of the umi catalog bolted/ welded in. He put a 01 ss motor trans ecm and harness in the car scince he bought the car as a roller. i got his hp tuners with the car when i bought it. after switching everything into my name from his account i tried plugging in to the car and just check out how everything works on the program but cant get it to read the pcm. it knows that im plugged in to the car and says i have a license agrement but when i try to run diagnostics or anything it says cable is unplugged? plugged in my obdII scanner and wont connect to the vehicle. my port fried or am i just that dumb??
