Default 04 zo6 cam in a 2002 gmc denali tune question

Im thinking about putting a 04 zo6 cam in my 2002 lq4 6.0 denali and was wondering if it would need a tune or run ok without a tune..thanks billy

It will run fine but you will likely need 0.050 longer pushrods as it will clatter with the smaller lobe circle. Obviously a tune would get you more power.

I have a comp cam thats 208 212 558 lift on a 115 lsa im wondering how it will idle and how bad it would need to be tuned.

Guys if you put another cam in that changes how the air enters and exits the cylinders it pretty much a given it needs a tune. If you can't afford the tune don't swap the cam. I also feel if its not enough different to need a tune its not really worth the effort and money either.
