Which HP Tuner for Me
Old school dude here.
Want to buy a HP Tuner, learn how to tweak the tune on my car.
Car is tune in CLSD right now. Track only car no street at all. Just want to make some small changes at the track.
Can I buy a tuner that can tune 2 different cars?
I have a buddy also wanting to learn how to tune.
That way we could split the cost.
Thanks
Also can someone else With an Hp Tuner read my tune now.
As you can tell, I don't **** about HP Tuners.

The system comes with 8 credits, enough to read & write 4 cars normally. Additional credits are $50 each as I recall, most ECU's need 2 credits.
As long as your tuner did not lock the ECU then you can license the ECU, read entire the tune and make changes, then write calibration.
Pretty good help files and help at HPTuners.com/forums
You will want the Pro version and an external wideband O2 as well. Takes some setting up and a pretty steep learning curve but this old guy figured it out 6 years ago.

Pro version can do standalone logging but you review it with the scanner software on the laptop. Not sure if it's enabled for our ECU, never tried it.
I use a 10" Acer netbook for tuning & logging on the pass seat. Mounted the interface under the dash, plug it into the OBDII port as needed & routed the USB cable under the console to the pass seat belt buckle location.
