Question on selling my LS1 Edit
Been reading a lot about the new HP Tuner and seriously thinking of selling Edit and getting it. As long as I sell my PCM with my copy of Edit, it will work for the new owner, correct? Seeing my car is a 2000 M6, would it need to be sold to someone also with a 2000 M6? Or would an auto be able to use my PCM as well as possibly a different model year?

You can change a m6 to an a4 and vice versa. i emailed ken about this after i totalled my m6 and bought an a4. He sent me a stock a4 file with a segment 1 number that matched my m6 pcm that I kept from the wreck. I just reflashed that same pcm with the a4 file and it works. When you open edit and your file, you will see the segment 1 number. Mine is a 2000 also btw. Of course the vin doesnt match my current car but i didnt care
