Default 427 LS1 combo tuning. EFI live and stock 99 ECU

I'm planing a build for my 1999 Camaro.
Ls7 converted to 24x reluctor wheel.

What I want to know is will the stock ECU be competent enough for this much displacement and a mild cam?

Will I be able to get a base tune to brake in the engine with from an experienced tuner?

My only real reason for choosing EFI Live instead of HP Tuners is bc apparently EFI live is the only software capable of also tuning the 6 speed auto in my 2013 GMC. Is this true?

The stock pcm can be tuned for that setup, we also sell base tunes using efi live or hp tuners. Both HPT and EFI can tune the transmission in your truck.

Thanks. I gather from researching this forum that EFI live is more in depth than HPT. But HPT may have better tech support. Do you have any advice on which software to choose?

I have experience tuning carburetors / digital ignition systems as well has hand held (Predator) LS1 tuning experience.

I have read "Master EFI Tuner" by Dan Malic (good read).

I prefer HPTuners, over the last 2 years I have learned a lot using this software. They give you everything you will need to get you up and running. HPT is constantly updating their software as well adding more tables in and what not.

I use them both daily but prefer efi live over hpt for a couple reasons.

I can do my own segment swaps
Nitrous custom os
.cax files
can do a mail order tune without using a license
serial wideband support
V2's standalone functions

Im not saying efi is better than hpt, I really like them both but thats why I personally like efi. You cant go wrong with either one.
