Default eratic STFTs. have a few questions

here is just a sample of a few cells of my STFT. now mind you these are all in the same FTC (22). All of my LTFTs are negative which is what i wanted but why are these STFTs going positive now and sometimes bouncing around ALOT?? im kinda confused now. I assume this kinda STFT is gonna bring my LTFTsback to positive again eventualy right?

STFT1 STFT2 LTFT LTFT

0 -0.8 -2.3 -1.6
-0.8 -1.6 -2.3 -1.6
-1.6 -2.3 -2.3 -1.6
-2.3 -3.1 -2.3 -1.6
2.4 1.6 -2.3 -1.6
3.1 -2.3 -2.3 -1.6
-1.6 -2.3 -2.3 -1.6
-2.3 -3.1 -2.3 -1.6
-3.1 2.4 -2.3 -1.6

Thanks
Dave

also, does the ecm use an Average of STFTs to modify LTFTs over time? If so, my STFT averages per cell are still negative, im just wondering what these sporatic positive STFTs mean and what they do to LTFTs.
Here is my most concerning cell:
CELL 6
LINE CT 3611
LTFT B1 -2.1675436 (GOOD)
LTFT B2 -2.08238715 (GOOD)
AVG LTFT -2.217031293 (Pretty much were I want to be)
STFT B1 .749404597 (WTF happened??)
STFT B2 .248629189 (WTF happened??)
AVG STFT .499016893 (Whats this going to do to my -2.21 LTFT avg.??)

Thanks
dave

Ok, to make this easier

im just trying to get an idea of what effect a +2 STFT will have on say, a -2 LTFT and how long it the STFT must stay at +2 to change the LTFT

Thanks

Dont worry about STFT that much. Look at STFT AVG and LTFT. The only reason to look at the AVG is to get an idea what it might be once they pass to long-term. I use it to spot check a tune without an extensive driving cycle.

I dont know how long the time is, but if the STFT AVG and LTFT are pretty far off, LTs change very quickly.

To get an idea how this works, make a graph of O2 mV, STFT, STFT AVG, and LTFT overlayed. You'll see how STFT nearly mirrors O2 mV.

ive got no clue how to make a graph like you are talking about unfortunately. Im noticing my STFTs are mostly negative but usually 1 or 2 less negative then the LTFTs.
