holley hp vs. dominator nitrous car which 1?
got a customer with a dry nitrous ls based car wantn to go with holley system and wantn some info from people who is using it or tuning them. say i got a ls based nitrous track car with powerglide with electric shift will he be ok with hp or does he need dominator? from what im reading up on only differences is dominator has 2 wide bands and alot more inputs/outputs? from what hes wantn to do i think i would be ok with hp kit and still have some leftover outputs. how many inputs/outputs does the hp have compared to the dominator? the car also has a arc switch panel and all electric autometer guages.
being that the hp has only 1 wideband i was thinkn we could see which side of the motor is the leanist and tune off of it but will it work like that or am i gonna have problems on the rich side being that its not gonna be logged? or is there any way u can add a 2nd wideband to the hp system?
tia new to all this tuning!

Don't get me wrong the HP is still a great system, just a little more limited when it comes to expansion....

Found this on this forum, Seems to cover it pretty well.
Firmware
Both systems share the same firmware.
Hardware
The following differentiate these two ECU’s:
- Wide Band Oxygen Sensor Inputs
-HP – One input
-Dominator – Two inputs
- The Dominator can control certain Drive by Wire throttle body applications, the HP does not.
- The Dominator can control certain Electronic Transmissions (GM 4L60/5E and 4L80/5E), the HP does not.
- Inputs and Outputs
-HP
- 2 high side (+12v) PWM or switched outputs
-2 low side (ground) PWM or switched outputs
-4 Multi-inputs
-Dominator
-20 high side (+12v) PWM or switched outputs
-16 how side (ground) PWM or switched outputs
-6 speed inputs (magnetic or hall effect)
-30 0-5v sensor inputs
-13 Multi-inputs
- The Dominator has a “configuration input selection” pin that allows up to 4 calibrations to be selected with a key switch.
Wiring Harnesses
Both systems use the identical “main” wiring harnesses.
