Default Help! electrical problem

I just bought a very clean 02 trans am. It has an issue where TCC lockup acts very weird, and sometimes doesn't work at all. Intermittently, the coolant temp guage stops working, the engine cuts out, it idles high, and it kicks out of 4th gear all at the same time. Any help of where to look would be apappreciated.

Various codes, electrical problems or engine problems will cause the TCC to not engage or disengage.
Fix your other problems first and the TCC and trans will likely work perfectly then.

Start checking grounds.....the ground point most commonly problematic (in my experience) is located at the rear of the left cylinder head. Might not be the problem, but certainly a good place to start.
