Default Pcm number identification please help

Hey there I have a 1998 ls1 in my vehicle and recently just got it running it was running a little rough so I plugged it into A scanner. The engine and transmission Pcm was supposed to be from a 98F body. I get a code p1518 electronic throttle module to PCM communication. My engine has a drive by cable throttle body so this brings me to my question. My pcm has the numbers service number 16238212 hdw number 16239740. Is this a corvette ecu that was intended for dbw or do I have something else going on thanks.

Maybe somebody replaced the PCM with one that has a Corvette OS in it, since both the F-body and the Corvette share the same service numbered PCM

Yes that may be the case and I'm thinking so. So there is no way of know it is a corvette ecu by just looking at the numbers on the ecu? Just seems the case bc of the code about the electronic throttle control.

So I believe what I'll do to resolve the issue is purchase a 99-02 pcm the 411 pcm I do believe and repin my harness since I have to replace it anyways.

Smart. The 98 PCM is not the one to use.
