Default Problem ... need advice / guidance

To make a long story short ...
I was trying to get my PCM tuned for a blower when we found out that my previous tuner locked my tune/computer.

We tried both HPtuners and Ls1-edit and both times access was denied. I can't get a hold of my old tuner (he dropped of the face of the earth).

I'm now stock with a locked tune and I emailed Chris at HPtuners. He said that the dealer won't be able to reflash my computer back to stock with the lock. Instead instructed to

Physically desolder the flash chip from inside the PCM and use an
EEPROM
I don't want to go this route .. might as well get a new PCM. Is there anyone who would be able to unlock my PCM ?

My stock Program is for an A4 but now I have a T56 in the car ? I had a tune for the M6.

I'm kind of stuck here. What can I do ?

You might try to pick up another PCm from a junk yark in a big town , like dallas. they wont know what they are worth. But if you buy one off the net most people will want around 100. Forums/Ebay.

good luck

Buy a used PCM and go from there, just make sure it's for the year & tranny that you are going to use... Oh yeah, and buy HP Tuner too... :-)

Poor Zoltan...
I think he's had more problems than I have had.
I would try Ebay first, than maybe a junk yard in LA?
I tried looking thru a "PICAPART" in our area, they don't have any cars that are like ours. I asked someone that worked there, and he said that our type of cars get snatched up quick. Go figure
Good luck.
