Default PC crashed - lost LS1Edit software??

I purchased LS1Edit software about a year ago. My PC died recently and I can't find the software disk; I have the special cable that came with the purchase.

Should I contact LS1Edit?

I seem to remember that the cable is locked to the car but the software is generic. Can I down load a copy somewhere?

I asked Carputing about this issue; they said pay them $100 and they would send me a new disk - what a rip-off.

Ever since HP Tuners came out, that's probably the only way they can pay the electric bill.

How much is the HP Tuners software? I suppose it is superier to LS1Edit? I found their software very hard to use and they have virtually no instruction or guidance on where to start.

Overall, LS1Edit is very expensive and hard to use.
